Still haven't figured out the RSS button thing yet, something is screwy. But I am working on it.

And I totally get what you mean about the Green Army men. I use to do the same thing ...and it only got worse once I was introduced to stories about how Alexander used mobility to overcome superior numbers, or movies like Zulu. Talk about classic RTS scenarios. That was Zerg attack if ever there was once.

Oh, and about that of the little green army men... YES!! Indeed I feel that way too.

However, as kid, I was more prone to use the green army men as an RTS, than viceversa; I mean I wasnt a child making their soldiers shoot and shout, I enjoyed to plan incredible tactics and strategies, what was usually a problem when some friend wanted to "just play".

Yeah, for me a good RTS is like a continuity from my childhood.

Novak,

Thanks for dropping by.

Working on that RRS button. There seems to be an issue with the site and I am having trouble getting it straight. But I will solve it soon. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Really glad to be reengaging a others. I have had my head buried in game dev the last year and have been out of touch. Just getting started, so stay tuned.

On the RTS stuff, yes, I have worked on at least 8 or 9 RTS games, and shipped 5 or 6.

It is probably my favorite game types to work on. With the pulled out camera, it's sort of like playing with toys. Reminds me of being a kid and playing with green army men.

Todd, I had to manually type http://www.shapesandlines.com/feed to suscribe to your blog. You should add a link, for Christ's sake.

Good to see your stuff here, much work of yours that Ive never seen! Pleased to see you worked a lot on RTSs. Hope someday you retake tha path ;)
