Rock, Paper, Chainsaw.

The sun peeked out from behind the clouds here in Eugene a little while ago, and the overcast seems to be breaking up a bit.

I’ve had a very busy morning, between my current contract job, business emails, and tracking down bugs with my new site theme, I’ve had my hands full.

I just fixed a Z sorting issues with the site that was causing the header image to be displayed in front of gallery images, eliminated a redundant RSS link that was showing up in the page bar, and tweaked the formatting of the sidebar text.

I’m no coder, and me debugging code is like cutting a birthday cake with a chainsaw, it will get done, but it ain’t gonna be pretty.

It actually wasn’t all that complicated to figure out as I’ve seen similar sorting issues with game dev on more than one occasion, so the problem translated easily enough and was just a matter of working out which page element trumped which, like a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. The formatting changes turned out to be more involved and required a good bit of trial and error.

This is an environment concept I’m working on, but have not fleshed out or applied any color to yet . It’s another one of my infamous cocktail napkin sketches.
